The questions we actually get asked

If yours isn't here, write to us — we answer everything within 24 hours.

Booking & payment

Pick your dates on the rates page — the calendar shows what is free and prices it as you go — then send it by WhatsApp or email with one tap. We confirm within 24 hours. There is no form to fill in.

From $160 a night Monday to Thursday and from $180 Friday to Sunday, for the whole house — the same price whether you are six or fourteen. Minimum two nights. Half is paid up front to hold the dates, the rest on arrival.

The booking is non-refundable. Once the dates are held they are yours and the money is not returned, so travel insurance is worth having — particularly between June and November, which is hurricane season.

No. Nothing is held against a card, and there is nothing to claim back after you leave.

No. The house goes to one group at a time — nobody else in the pool, nobody else in the kitchen. That is most of the point of it.

The stay

Fourteen, in real beds. Three bedrooms and six beds: one king, then two queens in the second room and three in the third, both bunked. Nobody ends up on a sofa.

From 15:00, out by 12:00. Both bend when the calendar allows — ask, and if the day before or after is free we will usually say yes.

No — the kitchen is yours. Gas hob, oven, microwave, full-size fridge and freezer, blender, filter coffee, a barbecue outside and pots big enough for a proper sancocho. The supermarket is three minutes away.

Private, and no. It is yours alone, lit at night, and open as late as you want it. The jacuzzi is right beside it, open to the sky.

Forty-five kilowatt-hours a day come with the house, which covers the air conditioning, the pool and normal use. Anything above that is billed separately at the end. Water and fibre have no meter.

Very. One floor, no steps anywhere, a fully walled garden they can be let loose in, window guards already fitted, swings under the mango trees. Two of the three bedrooms are bunk rooms. We do not have cots or high chairs, so bring what you need.

Small pets are welcome. Smoking outside only.

The place

Inside Pueblo Bávaro, a gated residential community with security on the gate twenty-four hours a day. The house has its own entrance and covered parking for four cars inside the property.

Fifteen minutes to the beach, ten from Punta Cana airport, three to the shops — the community has its own parade with a supermarket, a pharmacy, a pizzeria and an ice cream place. You will want a car or a taxi for the beach.

Yes, all of it — transfers both ways, beach runs, Isla Saona, buggies, sailing, Santo Domingo. Every tour picks you up at the villa door. You do not even have to be staying with us to book one.

Yes. We have set the place up for baby showers and birthdays before — balloon arches, dessert tables, the lot. There is also a day pass at $350 for up to twenty people if you want the house and the pool for the day without staying the night.

Diony Montero, the host. One person, four years doing this, Superhost on Airbnb. He meets you at the door, answers during the stay and books whatever you want to do.

Drink bottled, like everyone does here — it is cheap and sold everywhere, including the supermarket three minutes away. Tap water is fine for washing and brushing your teeth.
